1 lb. lean ground pork or chicken
1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
6-8 cups chicken broth
1 small pack frozen peas and diced carrots
In small bowl, combine ground meat, green onions, beaten egg, soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well with a fork.
In big pot, bring chicken broth to boil, add peas and carrots. Drop meat mixture by spoonful into boiling broth and vegetables. Simmer until meat balls are done. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
If desired, Chinese mami noodles sotanghon or fine pasta may be added to the soup to make it more filling. SHARE With Your Friends:
