Basic Dough – Ahjeen


6 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup oil
1 pack dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups water



Dissolve yeast and sugar in 1/4 cup water, letting stand for 3 minutes to proof yeast. Put flour in large mixing bowl. Mix in salt. Make a well in center. Add proofed yeast and 1-1/4 cup warm water and oil. Mix thoroughly and knead well, about 10 min., till smooth and elastic. Form dough into a large ball; cover with cloth and plastic; let rest in a warm place until dough rises, approximately 1-1/2 hours. Cut dough. Form four round balls. Cover again and let dough rise and additional half hour.
Roll dough, cut rounds (approximately 4 inch diameter), place full tablespoon of filling on round. Fold sides together, then fold bottom up to form a triangle. Pinch to seal. Arrange on oiled baking sheet. SHARE With Your Friends:
