Sukuma Wiki

Sukuma wiki in Kiswahili means ‘stretch the week’



500g kale or other greens e. g. spinach, cabbage, collard greens
2 tablespoons oil
1-2 chopped onions
2-4 peeled and chopped tomatoes
1 chopped green pepper, optional
leftover meat
salt and pepper to taste


Heat oil in a large frying pan. Fry onions until soft. Add tomatoes, green pepper and leftover meats, if you have any. Cook together until well heated. Add sukuma wiki and cook over low heat for 20-30 minutes until mixture is well blended. Season to taste. SHARE With Your Friends:
