6 oz. dried pasta
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup butter
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup finely snipped fresh parsley, basil, chives, marjoram and/or oregano
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Step 1: Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
Step 2: In a heated 1 1/2-quart saucepan, cook garlic in butter for 30 seconds.
Step 3:Add the whipping cream and chicken broth. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Boil gently, uncovered, for 12 to 15 minutes or till slightly thickened and reduced to slightly less than 1 1/4 cups.
Step 4: Add the herbs and cook 1 minute more.
Step 5:Stir in the Parmesan cheese.
Step 6: Toss with hot pasta and serve immediately. Makes 6 side-dish servings.
