This recipe was developed by Bob Parsons. Although it is not strictly a traditional recipe, it does contain molasses which was a common ingredient in many Newfoundland dishes.
SHOPPING LIST: garlic powder, molasses, moose meat, cooking oil, salt, soy sauce,
2 to 3 lbs. of moose meat, 3 tbsp. cooking oil, 1 tsp. garlic powder, 3 tbsp. soy sauce, 1 1/2 cups of molasses, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 cup boiling water.
Heat cooking oil in fry pan.
Add meat and cook until brown.
Add garlic and salt.
Cover with molasses, soya sauce, and water
Cook 3 to 4 minutes.
Turn meat over.
Cover and simmer for about 1 hour
