Ingredients for Brigadeiros Recipe:
- 1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa
- 1-1/2 teaspoons butter
- 1/2 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup chocolate sprinkles, preferably Guittard
Directions for Brigadeiros Recipe:
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cocoa, butter and condensed milk. Cook, stirring, until thickened, about 10 minutes. Cook the mixture until it thickens enough to show the pan bottom during stirring. Pour the mixture in a lightly greased dish and let it cool to room temperature. Now you are ready to form the little balls, remember to grease your hands with margarine first. Roll the balls in chocolate sprinkles.
Place the sprinkles in a bowl. Roll 4 to 6 brigadeiros in the sprinkles, making sure to cover the entire surface. Place the balls in candy cups (small size) and voilla! Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Store them in an airtight plastic container for up to 2 days at room temperature or up to 1 month in the refrigerator.
